CHATHAM CUP FINAL
HOME GROUND VENUE
AUCKLAND THISTLE OBJECT
(By Telegraph.) (Special to the 'Evening Post.'") AUCKLAND, This Day. Auckland Thistle Club, the North Island Chatham Cup finalists, disapprove of the proposal to play a national final this season on the home ground of one or other of the island finalists. This decision was reached owing to the impossibility of their being able to travel to the South Island, if asked. Entry for the competition was made on the understanding that the final would be played in Wellington, and they were unablo now to alter plans based on that understanding. . The club approved the principle ot a movable venue for'the final, provided that definite arrangements were announced at tho beginning of the season as to where the final was to be played, enabling eni trailts to estimate the extent ot their I responsibilities.
