SOUTH MAKARA ROAD
The proposal to join tho South Karori and the South Makara Boads was discussed- again today by the Makara County Council. The question was raised by a letter from Councillor E. Windley, in which he submitted his views on certain aspects of the proposal to which ho thought sufficient consideration had not been given at a previous meeting of the council. He pointed out that a mile of new road was proposed to be constructed over what was now a more or less unformed road. It would be necessary to see that this length of road was made safe for traffic. That would involve the council in considerable expenditure.
After a short discussion the council decided to postpone further consideration of tho matter until a moro definite stage of the project had been reached.
