EXTRA COST TO BRITAIN
QENEVA, August 8,
Britain contributes £10,000 a year more to tho expenses of tho League of Nations owing to the withdrawal of Germany and Japan.- Britain's share for 1033-34 totals £200,000 of the League budget of approximately £2,000,000. The staff of tho Secretariat has been reduced by 52, saving £20,000 a year in salaries.
Thirty-two States, including New Zealand, havo not paid their contributions, compared with 17 last year. Arrears total £2,000,000. ■
