GENEROUS HELP TO CLUB
The annual report of the Marlborough Racing Club states that during the year an effort was made to reorganise the club's finances by reducing the capital liabilities. As a result, the guarantors and de-benture-holders had surrendered their holdings, and Mr. P. IST. Dillon, second mortgagee on the racecourse property for ,£3OOO. had agreed to cancel the club's indebtedness. The thanks of tlio club were due to Mr. Dillon and the debentureholders for tbeir generosity.
