SHRUBS BY THE ROADWAY
■ The improvement of road reservations in Vogeltown and Mornington by the planting-of trees and shrubs is to be encouraged by the Municipal Electors' Association of the district, which at a meeting on Tuesday decided to ask residents to ring up the secretary, Mr. H. S. Sherbrooke, for details of the City Council's offer to do the work with tesidents' co-operation. . The meeting discussed the bus service from Brooklyn, and decided to request the council to improve it by running two small modern buses instead of the large old one now in use. Other requests which are to be made to the council are that an office be established in the district for the collection^ electricity accounts and that street lights be erected at certain places, especially at the entrance to MeKinlay. Crescent, while the condition of Faruham Street, which is considered dangerous, is to be brought to the notice of the council.
