NEWTOWN SCHOOL JUBILEE
Further arraugements for the celebration of the jubilee of the New-town. School at the end of September were made at a meeting on Tuesday of. the committee and others interested. On Friday, September 20, the present pupils aro to be entertained both in the afternoon and the evening by the Old Pupils' and Parents' Association. On Saturday afternoon there will bo a roll-call at the school, and after a march to the Winter Show building the speeches and an entertainment, and at night a social at the show building. Sunday will be marked by a special divine service at Our Theatre arranged by the Wellington South Ministers' Association. Badges in the school's colours and carrying certain privileges are now being sold by the; members of the general committee and at the school, while a souvenir booklet is almost ready for the press. Another public meeting is to be held on September 4.
