SHIVERING BUT SINGING

(By Telegraph—l'ress Association.) CHKISTCHUKCH, This Day. Singing when they left Greymouth by train last night, the 70 seamen and firemen who have been sentenced to fourteen days' imprisonment for refusing to obey the commands of the masters of their vessels, were shivering when they arrived at Templeton at 5 o 'clock this morning, but they were still singing. A guard of six constables accompanied the men from Greymouth. The guard was augmented by six warders at Templeton. The men weTe lined up on tho platform in the half darkness and were then marched to Paparua Gaol. They marched in an orderly fashion. There was no disturbance. Their luggage followed on a motor-lorry.
