THE LEGION'S PROPOSAL
QUESTION IN HOUSE
A.question regarding the proposals of tho New Zealand Legion for the formation' of a Unity Government was asked in the House of Representatives this afternoon. ,
1 Mr. C.' A. Wilkinson (Independent, Egmont) asked the Prime Minister if he would'indicate to the House the position the Government .took regarding the request made ( by the New Zealand Legion in respect to tho formation of a Unity Government with the establishment of an Economic Council and' a shire -system of local government, and the introduction of preferential voting. Tho Prime Minister (the Rt. Hon. G. W. Forbes) said he hoped to bo "able to send a,reply to the Legion shortly.
