ST. JOHN AMBULANCE
On a'recent Saturday afternoon close on 300 sports grounds throughout the Dominion were staffed by members' of St. John Ambulance Brigade. The staff comprised 570 members of the ambulance and nursing divisions, with 80 ..assisting cadets. No fewer than 1150 cases of first aid wore attended to. Although the great majority of the injuries were of a minor nature, some were of a serious kind. Each year-sees an increase in the sphere of the'brigade's operation^, eight further centres having ' been added during the past year. On the eve of his transfer from Wellington to Rotorua, Mr. Miller, corps superintendent, was presented with a memento by members of the organisation. In making the presentation, Mr, F.. W. Ward, assistant commissioner, referred to the good work Mr. and Mrs. Miller had done in connection with the brigade.
