DAMAGES AWARDED
WATCHMAKER'S INJURIES
1 Evidence was concluded in the Supreme Court today in. the case arising out of an accident in Tory Street in . August of last year, in which Percy .Mitchell, a watchmaker, claimed d} 1172 » 14s damages from Albert William Bur- ■, ton, a '"waterside worker. The jury' retired at 12.25 p.m. and returned at. 3 i 'p.m. with a. verdict for the plaintiff ■■■■: for £822 14s. Mr. Justice Ostler entered judgment accordingly, with costs, witnesses' expenses, and disbursements. Tho hearing of the action began yesterday morning. An outline of the i plaintiff's allegations and the nature of Ills injuries has already been given, and on another page appears a- sumninry pfthe case for the defence, , Mr. B. It. Boys appeared for the plaintiff, mid Mr. W. E. Leicester for Hie defendant. j
