In the senior championship semi-finals (36 holes) of the Mornington Club, L. McGiiT beat A. F. Watkins, 3 and 2. McGirr being right on form started out in the first round with four 3's and completed the first nine holes in 33, and finished the round in 69. J. Hennessey beat D. Stratmore, 2 ami T. In the intermediate championship semifinals (36 holes) K. Stephen beat E. C. Swanson, 2 up. Swiuson, after being 7 down at the twenty-i'ourth hole, made a great fight of it. reducing the leeway to one, only to be beaten on the last green. R. T. McElligott beat A. Charles, 5 and 4.
In the junior championship semi-finals HS holes) J. Elton beat T. C. Johnston, ~i and 4, and M. Hennessey beat ,0. G. Hearne. 7 and 6.
The Frederick Cup was won by T. McWhirter in a thirty-six holes bogey competition with 1 down. The eighteen-holcs bogey competition was won by L. McGirr with 3 up, the next cards being J. Elton, 1 up; G. Estall, 1 up; T. McWhirter, all square; C. Jacobi, 1 down; and E. Buckman, 2 down. The eighteen-holes stroke competition resulted in a tie between J. C. M. Futter, 81, 14—67; A. Thomson, 84, 17—67; and G. Estall..B4. 17—67; next being O. G. Hearne, 93, 24—69; and J. Hennessey, 77, 8—69.
