DUAL STEEPLES WINNERS
Five, horses have won the ' Wellingtoii Steeplechase twice, namely, Gobo (1901----02), Kiatere (1904-05), Master Strowatf (1918-22), Omahu (1924-25), and Billy Boy (1932-34). Of thia quintet,- three also- included'a Hew Zealand Grand National Steeplechase in their records of success. These; three are Gobo, who won the Eiecarton'race in 1901, Master Strowan, who scored in' .1917, and Bi'ly Boy, the 1932 National victor. A reverse record is held by Coalition, winner of the Wellington Steeplechase in 1921 and of the New Zealand Grand National Steeplechase in 1920 and 1921, and by Oakleigh, winner of the Wellington Steeplechase in 1923 and of the Grand National Steeplechase in 1922. Coalition also won the Great Northern Stceple- | chase in 1921.
