MEMBERS ENTERTAINED
Members of the Port Nicholson Encampment, 1.0.0;]?.,. N.Z., entertained fellow-members of the order last evening in tho Oddfellows' Hall, Allen Street. There,was.a very large gathering of Oddfellows, every lodge in the district being represented. During the evening Mr. E. Mathers, G.P. of Port Nicholson Encampment, presented the retiring C.P., Mr. 3?. Dales, with a jewel in recognition of his services to the Encampment during his recent term of office. Mr. 1\ J. Jones was M.C., and dancing was kept up to a late hour. At St. Francis Hall last night members of tho Grand United Order of Oddfellows held their annual ball. Tho arrangements were in the hands of Mr. McQueen (District Master) and a committee- consisting of . Misses Kydc, Hooper, Bradstoek, Neilson, Cower, Murphy,- Messrs. Harnor, Tingey, Tunly, Brooker, G. Smith, Cooper, Michel, Lander, and Laurenson. The ball opened with a grand march of Oddfellows, each member wearing regalia. Items were given during the evening by Miss Hazel Martin and troupe, and Mr. Southern Colledge and partner.
