Oriental maintained their consistency in the second division by defeating Wellington on Saturday by 16 points to 8. For the winners, Baldwin scored three tries and Perrett one, two being converted. Blyth and Barron scored tries for Oriental, Newman converting one.
Onslow had a win over Melrose-Selwyn by 8 points to nil. It was a well-con-tested game, though bright only in patches. Slater and Glenn scored tries for Onslow, Kendall converting'one..
Miramar had the better of their match with a weakened Athletic tejjm and won by 18 points to 8. For Miramar two tries were scored by Reeves and one each by Parfitt and Codyre, Cook converting two. Edwards ■ scored a. try for Athletic, McIntyre converting and kicking a penalty goal.
