Beeauso of the number of players absent at Auckland, the two leading teams, I'ctone and Mavist, did not participate in Saturday's championship games, and the competition was therefore not as interesting as it should have been. At the Basin Reserve the fast and enterprising Swifts team overshadowed Waterside, who appear to get worse as the season progresses,' Swifts winning by 3 goals to 2. Ou No. 2 ground at the Basin Reserve Lower Hutt and Nada played a hard contest which ended ia a 2-2 draw, and Diamond, in spite of valiant efforts, went down to Hospital at Porirua by 4 goals to 1. Petone, Marist, and Hospital' are together at the head of the first A division championship table, having played 8, 9/ and 9 games respectively. There were no surprises in the first B division results, all the teams playing true to form. The leaders, Institute, Technical, Seatoun, and Miramar, had not unexpected victories, and continue in their places on the championship table in that order. RESULTS AT A GLANCE. FJKST A DIVISION. .
