SUPERPHOSPHATE PRICES.
Prices for superphosphate in the Auckland district have been reduced from £4 3s 6d to £4 a ton, in accordance with the regulations, issued by the Government mjder the Board of Trade Act. Representatives of the manufacturing companies had no comment to make on the present position. It is assumed that the Government will pay a. subsidy of 2a Cd a ton, which is on the lines of its offer to the companies, states i the "Herald," Auckland. Since June 30). the companies have been selling at £4 3s 6d a ton without a subsidy.
