SYDNEY, June 21,

The annual sheep show opened today at the show ground. The exhibits, which totalled 1200, which is a record, and were estimated to be worth £250,000, came from all parts of Australia and New Zealand.

Tho chief prizetaker for merinos was W. T. Merriman, while in the British breeds, Border Liecester section, the New Zealander Donald Grant won tho prize for the reserve grand champion ram, • also first prize for a ram under one* year, special for rams under two years shorn not earlier than six weeks prior to the day of judging, for which he secured first and second prizes, "and first for ewe under one year. The majority of prizes in the Eomney Marsh sections went to W. Glasson and A. Carr; Southdowns, J. McPhillamy and W. McSweeney; Corriedales, Prell Brothers and Guthrie Brothers.
