A FINE CONCERT
MUSICAL PEOPLE PRESENT
The rather usual remark about Wellington—that the people are not really musical, and are apt to patronise the lesser forms of beauty in sound—could hardly be aimed at them on the occasion of the visit of M. Poiiishnoff, the Russian pianist, and Mr. Horace Stevens, a fine baritone singer, whose first concert took place at the Town Hall last night. In sipte of weather and the fact that the Town Hall is a very cold place, there was a large audience and many well-known ;people were present.
