PETONE CLUB'S MEETING
;■ The annual meeting of the Petone Bowling Club was held in the pavilion, Jackson Street, Petone, last evening. The president ; (Mr. J. R. Robertson) was in the chair, and there was an attendance of 33 members. . ■ ■.
Those present stood in silence for a few moments as a mark of respect'to members who had died during the year. Mr. Alex' Cowie, the only original playing member of the club, was elected a life 'member. . ' '; ■ -■■••-
It was decided that the match committee should be comprised of two members for the 1934-35 season! ' '
Four new members were elected. Two resignations were received.
The annual subscription was fixed at £ 2 lOs if .P aitl before' December 31, 1034. Ihe question of the senior pennants was left with the match and management committees to deal with.
Members • placed 'on record 'their appreciation of. the. work1 done by Mr. T. McArthur as green superintendent. ihe question of the Wednesday competition was left -with the match - committee to arrange; The election of officers resulted as follows:—President. Mr. ,T. R. Robertson: vice-president, Mr. J. W. Lowry; lion secretary, Mr. 0.. Silbery (all re-elected) •' management committee.. Messrs. H Gates G. D. MeEwen, P. Whyte, 'A. Bush, p' McArthur, ; and X' Linkhorn; match committee, Messrs. J. W. Lowry and 0 Silbery; delegate to .Wellington Centre,' Mr. J. W. Johnson; Hutt Valley tournament committee delegates. Messrs P McArthur, D. Hunter, and E. K. Lacev hon auditors, Messrs.' E. R. Jones and ■J: W. Longman.
