CUBA STREET LIGHTING
Tonight a new 'system of street lighting in Cuba Street will be switched on. The system is one of central lighting, and the power will be approximately doubled. It will consist of high-power standard lamps, and it is expected that the improvement will be very marked, particularly as regards the safety of traffic, which has always presented a problem in Cuba Street on late nights. The .new lighting is expected to benefit the shopkeepers considerably. Later pn the lighting of Cuba Street will be further developed, in accordance with a general scheme of improved-city lighting
