V.M.C.A. "COIN TEA"
SUCCESSFUL AFTERNOON
A most successful "coin afternoon" ■was. held by the Ladies' Auxiliary of the V.M.C.A. yesterday. A cheerful fire made, the reception-room very cosy, and bowls of hydrangeas and autumn leaves lent a colourful note.
The president, Mrs. L. J, Greenberg, received.the guests, and introduced those who took part in the delightful programme, which, included, songs by Mrs. Ironside, Miss Myra Sawyer, anj. Mrs. H. J. Chapman, 'cello solos by Mrs. IX. McKenzie, and elocutionary items by Miss Mavis. "Windsor.
Mr. Greenberg expressed the- appreciation of the board of the work of tlo Ladies' Auxiliary, the services of which had been of great help during the very hard times through which' they had: recently passed. .
The proceedings concluded with an amusing competition and a delicious tea, which was served on wagons.
