Mr. J. S. Haskell, chairman of the Eastern Bank, Ltd., London, speaking on the general outlook for British trade, said confidence had been restored at Home, and trade was showing an appreciable recovery, but without an improvement in world conditions, exports could not sensibly increase, and unfortunately international trade showed a further decline. In spite of obstacles to trade, however, there was no reason to be despondent. Britain's honey harvest has been valued at more than £200,000 a year.
