HINDU WOMAN IN WELL
FATAL, BARRIER OF CASTE
CALCUTTA, May-9. The barriers of untouchability came in the way of saving a life when a young Hindu woman of high caste fell into a well in a village near Nagpur. : Two low-caste youths wanted to jump into the well to save her, but other women prevented them because the water would be polluted by their touch. The girl was drowned.
