MR. C. ;k L. TREADWELL FOR REFORM

As announced in "Tho Post" yesterday, Mr. C. A. L. Tieadwell yesteiday afternoon consented to contest the Wellington Noithscat at the next General Llection in the inteiosts of the Reform Paity. Tho seat is at present held for Labour b> Mr. C. H. Chapman.

Tho deputation which asked Mr. Treadwcll to consent to nomination was headed by Mr. A. H. Miles, who said that thoso associated with him represented; nUmy and diverse inteiests not only m "Wellington Noith but in the commuiuty geneially. Defining his attitudo to wards tho Coalition, Mr. Treadwell said Tie would be guided by tho Jeader of < his party. Ho acceded to tiie .request of tho deputation ( with pleasure and pride. Mr. Tieadwell was born at Lowe? Hutt 44 years ago, and is a son of Mr. 0. H. Tieadwell lie was educated privately and at "Wellington College and Victoria University College. During the war he saw active service in Egypt, Fiance, and Belgium. On hisxctuin to Xew Zealand in 1019 ho commenced practice in, Wellington as a bainster and solicitor. . Mi. TreadweH is a member o"f tho Wellington Hospital Board and a member of the geneia.l committee of th 6 Associated Chambers of Commerce. Ho is also Vice-Consul for Brazil.
