PUBLICITY VOTE
TEACHERS' RESOLUTIONS
The need for publicity was stressed at the conference of the New Zealand Educational Institute today when a resolution was carried, "That the executive be recommended to spend on publicity not more than £.2000, and that the scope of the sub-committee to be set up on the five arid six-year-olds be widened to take in the control of publicity activities." These activities were indicated in the executive's publicity report, which was considered in committee.
The conference also carried a resolution stating that whenever necessary the executive should endeavour to arrange for leave of absence on full pay for the president, the N.Z.E.I. to supply the salary of the teacher relieving the president but of the funds for general publicity purposes.
