The airmen Rubens and Waller left Koepang this morning and arrived at Darwin at 12.23 p.m. They are remaining about ten days in Australia, returning by the same route after visiting Sydney and Melbourne. Their object is to survey the. route for the Centenary air race, as Rubens intends flying a new.type of Comet machine. Their present machine, a Leopard Moth, is of the enclosed cabin type. Rubens is Australian-born and served with the Imperial Forces. Waller is a native of Kent,
