MR. A. X, CAMPBELL "
. The death.'loecutred-recently In rthe Wellington Hospital after a long illness of Mr. A. K. Campbell, a member of the engineer's staff of the Wellington City Corporation. IJrior to the war, Mr. Campbell was for many years en-gaged-with private surveyors in various parts of the North Island. He was in active service in France for some considerable time ,as r -a member' of; the : Second Canterbury" Begiment, and on Ms return to New. Zealand .-he/was engaged with :the PuWio Works Department on survey work at Mangahao, subsequently joining the service of the corporation in 1920, his first work being in connection with the survey of the Orongorongo Tunnel. He has 'since been engaged in the waterworks arid drainage branch of the City Engineer's Department. ...,: ■ '
. Mr. Campbell was a popular and Jiighly-respected officer, and. his death is deeply, regretted by Ms fellow-onicers. He was fifty years of .agq, and leave's a widow and three.children. V
