FLIGHT TO AUSTRALIA
YOUNG AIRMAN STARTS
(British Official 'Wireless;) (Received March 29, 11 a.m.); : ■ ...... KTJGBY, March 28. A young airman, "with, less thin one year's flying experience, Mr. H. L. Brooke, of Harrowgate, Yorkshire, left Lympne aerodrome at dawn this, morning on an attempt to lowerthe England to Australia flight Teeora of 7 aays 3jhours set up last year by Air Commodore Sir Charles Kingsf ora Smith. ' Brooke, who hopes to reach Brinaisi today, is using the British low winged monoplane' "Heart's Content," in which Mr. J. A. Mollison made the-first sold east to west flight across the Atlantic. Mr. Brooke thinks that the flight will be useful practice for the England-to-Australia race next October in connection with'the Melbourne centenary celebrations, in which he hopes to compete.
