BIG PRICES FOR BULLS
SUCCESSFUL SYDNEY SALE*
~ ..,.- ; ; , , SYDNEY, March 2S. .; After 'keen bidding at the cattle; sales at the Royal Show today, the champion Hereford bull. Golf Hill Bril-' liant, owned by a Victorian, Mrs. J. Biddleeombe, was knockedl.down, at 750 guineas to T. A. Meld, Limited, Tenterfield, New. South Wales. . ' Two others made 3001 and 230 guineas respectively. I The beef cattle sale was described as ;the most successful fcm many years and the prices were an indication of the buoyancy of the market and .the eagerness to procure the best bulls in anticipation of the chilled beef market. The average priee .realised by one. firm was s£lso.'a' head, compared with' £85 last year. Buyers from all parts! of Australia operated freely. ■ Mr. Hoy MeCaughey's team of buils.] from Narandera averaged 250 guineas,: arid nine from. Mr. Anthony. Hprdern's stud at Bowral averaged 225 guineas. Both these studs shared the honour of topping the market with bulls at 500 guineas. ■ -..•/ j
