GERMAN CLUB
The German Club had the opportunity of listening on Wednesday evening to an address in the German language by the patron o£ the club, Mr. W. Penseler, German Consul, -who. described some of his observations and interesting episodes during the recent visit of the German cruiser Karlsruhe to Brisbane, and during its journey from Brisbane to Apia, and in Samoa, and during his return trip from. Samoa to Kew Zealand on the Franconia, Mr. Penseler was accorded a hearty vote of thanks for his interesting address. A previous club meeting took the form of an enjoyable picnic amidst river, gorge, and bush scenery many miles from Wellington.
