CONDITIONS OF SUBSIDY

The subsidy is likely to be limited to vessels fifteen years old and under to prevent the freight market being flooded with! obsolete• and uneconomic ships. .. , '
Owners receiving the .subsidy will requiro to use British coal and have the ships repaired in British yards. The scheme will also contain.a measure for tho protection of British .. ships .employed in Empire trade. . ....
