The following resolution has been 'communicated to the Prime Minister by "the"executive of. the Associated Chambers'of Commerce:— "In the matter of the Motor-spirits (Regulation of Prices) Bill, this executive deplores the rushing through of this most important measure in the flying hours of tho session, and further, it strongly objects to- tho proposals contained in tho Bill, ■which will have tho effect of depriving the community of tho benefits resulting from competition in the salo of petrol, as -well as preventing the possibility of any such beneficial competition in the future because of the fixation of prices proposed,.and that at tho direction of otio man, namely, the holder of the portfolio of Industries and Commerce, instead of Parliament.
