EASTBOURNE WATER SUPPLY
Application was made by the Eastbourne Borough Council at liist night's meeting of the Lower Hutt Borough Council for a variation of the agreement between the two boroughs for the supply of water. It was asked, that during the second year of tie agreement, instead' of 'being called upon to pay for 'a minimum supply of 125,000 gallons per day, Eastbourne be allowed to i continue on the arrangement that held for the first year of the agreement, paying for the amount consumed as per meiter. readings. The concession was granted for six months, the position to be [reviewed at the expiry of that period, [which will be at the end of May.
