A very happy Christmas party completed the year's work at the Ngaio Free Kindergarten, when parents and friends were welcomed by Miss Seed and Miss Thompson. The hall presented a very gay appearance with ita coloured decorations, beautiful flowers, and gay balloons. » ■ ' ■ •

! The children presented, a pleasing programme,, the happiest item being the visit of a miniature "Santa Claus" in his red sledge drawn by a gay band of prancing reindeer. The appearance of the tree was hailed with delight, and very happy children handed out the lipresents they had made during the year for their parents, before receiving their own gifts. ■ , Iho Mothers' Club was responsible for the scheme of decorations, and special thanks were given to Mr. and Mrs. Card for their work in connection with the tree each year. , ■ \
