RIDING ENGAGEMENTS

BRAMBLETORN NOT GOING TO AUCKLAND

(Special to the "Evening Post.") % PALMERSTON N., This Day. Boy Reed will be at Ellerslie on Boxing Day and will return for the second and third days of the Manawatu Meeting. He was to have ridden Blambletorn in the Auckland Cup, but was informed yesterday that it had been definitely decided not to take Brambletorn north for the Ellerslio Meeting. On Boxing Day, Eeed will pilot Croupier in the Railway, Catalogue in the Queon's Plate, Eerepai in the Nursery, Whenuakura' and Dollar Prince, and he will ride Golden Hair in the Derby. At the Awapuni fixture he has been engaged for Boyal Routine, Diatomous (Stakes), All Humbug, Dombey, and Lone Raider. A W. J. Broughton's riding engagements at Ellerslio on.Boxing Day aro iSpeedmint, Gay Sheila, and Pound Sterling. Broughton will return for the second and third days at Manawatu. ' S. Anderson will remain at Awapuni for the Christmas week, his Boxing Day engagements being for Cardinal Moon, Baparahara, Borneo, Arrow Lad, Flaxen, Boon, True Shaft, and La Poupee. , ' Luke Wilson went north last night with Catalague, and in addition to his own horse he had charge of Gold Trail for J. M. Cameron, who followed on the later train. Alan McDonald left for Ellerslie with Bodyline and Acervate. Mr. C. T. Keeble's horses, Golden Wings,. Lack, Gipsy Love, ana.Brown Betty-go north today. Beed will ride "Wings" and '"Keith Voitre Brown Betty, but riders have not yet been fixed for the other, two. ■
