I ■ ' 7" ■ (Received December 19, 2.30 p.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. A meeting of the New South Wales Amateur Athletic Association resolved, on the, motion of : the secretary.; Mr. Heathwood, to withhold permission for Metcalfe and Hampson •to ' visit New Zealand next year.
The officials of the Amateur Athletic Union of Australia were trenchantly criticised for the way in which, they had conducted the negotiations in connection with, tho New Zealand visit. The question is to be reopened when the Australian Union submits to the association the original request by New Zealand, setting out the terms and coaditions.
