SENSATIONAL REPORTS
LOSS OF LIFE DENIED
BERLIN, December 17. Sensational reports have been received from Warsaw that a broadcast picked up states that the Lubyanki prison at Moscow has been burned with great loss of life, including numerous Ogpu • prisoners locked in the cellars. Some warders and'firemen are also dead. Moscow announces that the fire occurred on December 3, and that no deaths occurred, only the Ogpu records being burned. The outbreak was confined to the top storeys of tho building. Messages in connection with the fire have hitherto been stopped by thecensors,
