TWO HUNDRED CHILDREN

A successful Christinas party, long-to be remembered by the 200 Smith Family children who. attended, Avas given by the staff of Kirkealdio and Stains, Ltd., in the Jacobean room on Saturday afternoon. Thanks to tha generosity of tho. firm, tho children wero taken for-a thrilling-trip; in the "sub-, marine" to "Father- Neptune's grotto." Then' followed an hour and a half of all kinds of exciting games, under the, capable direction of Miss N. Webber, who gave the little ones a thoroughly happy time. The lounge rang with the, merry shouts and laughter from so many young throats, and the largo number of mem-bers-of the-staff, who so willingly .assisted in the entertaining of their small guests, were greatly delighted that their efforts to . give a . little '' Christmas cheer" were so fully appreciated. A delicious "tea party" was set in an adjoining room, and the 200 little people did ample justice to the many good things placed before them. Ice creams, balloons, and a bag <of sweets to each child were among the happy surprises. "Father Christmas" arrived, and cut the beautiful huge pink , and white Christinas cake, and also presented each little member of the Smith Family with a gift. Mr. L. Page, of Kirkealdie's staff, convened this happy party, and to him much of the credit is' due for such a delightful treat. The president of the Smith Family spoke a«few words of thanks and appreciation.
