ADVANCING INDUSTRY
(Received December 18, 1 p.m.) LONDON, December 17. One of the brightest spots in the expanding light industries is. British toymaking. Over twenty-five thousand workers are employed in 510 factories, most of which have ben working overtime for some months to cope with the Christinas demand. The product of the industry in 1933 is estimated at 42 millions sterling. Employment therein shows a 25 per cent., production a -35 per cent., and exports a .40 per cent, improvement over 1932.
