COAL, LAND, BOOTS
(Received December 18, 2 p.m.) , LONDON, December 17. 'A co-operative undertaking has been formed by 1400 men, mostly miners,.who were unemployed in the Garw \ ralley, AA'ales. They bought a small colliery, bought a plot of land (which is worked :as allotments), and- started a boot-re-I pairing shop. Now 250 men are working the mine a few hours a week each, for which each receives ljcwt of coal, I The bootshop repairs fOot- ! ware at Is 6d a pair'men's, Is, 3d women's, and Is children's.
