GOLFERS INTERESTED
NEW YOKE, December 14. A message from. St. Petersburg, Florida, states that negotiations are in train, to have the American Professional Golf Association send a team to Australia to participate in tho Centenary Open Tournament and in a team match against Australians. Tho position depends at present on satisfactory financial arrangements. Terms have been communicated, to Australia, but there has not been time to receive an answer yet. If dates are arranged ,so that Americans could leavein the middle of October and return to America on January 1, 1935, it is very likely that from eight to ten players will make the trip. Many leading golfers, including Kirkwood, are all interested. The matter has been discussed with Horton Smith, Paul Eunyan, Walter Hagen,. Wiffy Cox, Leo Diegel, Johnny Parrel, and Al Espinosa.
