The House of Commons sat through •the night, disoussiug tho Newfoundland Bill. • Mr. Maxton (Lab.) moved an amendment that the revocation of tho present Administration of Newfoundland should be subject to the approval of the Dominions. The Dominions Secretary (Mr. J. 11. Thomas) said: "It is not the Government's duty to consult the Dominions on a matter purely between Newfoundland and this country," ! Tho amendment was negatived by 208 votes to 38. The Government frequently used the closure in Committee. The, Committee stage concluded at 8.35 a.m.The House then considered, financial resolutions on tha Unemployment Bill. It is still sitting.
