FLYING SCHOLAESHIP
WAIRARAPA COMPETITION
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) MASTEKTON, This Day. The flying scholarship founded by the "Wairarapa Age" has been won by Mr. G. A. Cowie (Masterton), who becomes entitled to training for liis A licence. There was a keen contest, particularly by the six entrants who were selected to undergo extended tests. The winner and several others showed great promise, and compelion has considerably stimulated interest in aviation in the district.
The sealing of- the road between Upper Hutt and Maoribank is not to bo started until after tlio New Year.
