CANADIAN VISITORS

Among tho regular visitors to Now Zealand ports are ships from Canada, either calling en route to Australia before returning homewards, or loading and discharging here on their return trip to New York, Boston, and Montreal or Halifax, Ships calling at North Island ports usually go first to Auckland, those visiting ports in the South Island going first to Dunedin. It is rare indeed that one of .these Canada ian vessels comes first to Wellington, and then proceeds to load in the south —almost as rare as a call at "Wellington by a ship direct from Montreal.
