FATAL FALL FROM WINDOW
A finding of accidental death was returned by the Coroner (Mr. E. Gilbertson, J.P.) at an inquest yesterday afternoon into the death of William Frederick Webber, a single man, aged 50, who died in hospital on Tuesday night from injuries received through falling about sixteen feet from a window of a house in Lipman Street.
•According to the medical evidence death was due to shock following _ a fracture of the spine and other injuries. A witness said that ho met the deceased, who was an acquaintance, in the street at about 1 p.m. on Sunday. The deceased had been drinking whisky and the witness took him to his room in Lipman Street to sleep off the effects of it. At about 8.30 p.m., while alone in the room, tho deceased fell out of tho wide-open window on to some steps below.
