A HANDICAPPER'S DILEMMA
One horse who must have given Mr. H. Coyle some thought when he was making his Marton assessments was Tudor in the Eata Hack Hurdles. In the end he has had to lift him a stone for his Levin win so as not to separate him too far from Air Laddie.
Tudor won the Manakau Hack Hurdles at Levin very easily from Air Laddie, who was conceding him 21b. Since then he has not raced, but Air Laddie has won twice in four starts. Now Air Laddie had to go up, for his wins, but what chance on paper could he have against Tudor at a 21b difference < again. Mr. Coyle faced the dilemma by bringing Tudor within 51b of Air Laddie, but at that he should beat his Levin victim by many lengths—if there is anything in handicaps.
