NOTES FROM THE SOUTH
Writing to Mr, A. fi, Kitto, tho president of the Canterbury Centre (Mr, J. K. Moloney) states tliat the sport is booming in Canterbury and that Canterbury expects to have a very strong team for the New Zealand championships at Wellington in February. Mr. Moloney also states that Otago will be "hard" this time; their scratch running scheme was turning out well. Funds were being raised in Christchurch to send everyone to the national meeting with a sporting chance.
January 20 has been fixed as the date for the intevprovineial contest between Wellington and Canterbury at Christehurch.
