MISHAP TO MAST
The hollow mast of the fourteenfooter Advance, said to be the only; mast of its kind in the North Island, was brokoa during the week. The shed about four feet, and it was struck mast projects through the end of the while a pile-driver engageM in the work now in progress at the Boat Harbour was being shifted. Temporary repairs wore put in hand which it was hoped would enable the boat to compete in the three races at Evans Bay this weekend. A new mast is under construction at the Harbour Board's workshops under the supervision of B. Campbell, skipper of the Advance and builder of the original spar.
