SOUTHERN TOUR
JUNIOR REPRESENTATIVES
A Wellington junior . representative cricket team is to visit the South Island during the holidays, and in the course of the tour will meet the Canterbury juniors in the annual match for the Brabin Shield. Mr. L. J. Brabin usually accompanies the juniors on tour, but. will miss the ,trip' this season as he is leaving next Friday on a visit to Australia* The following is the junior representative team for the southern tour: — Rainbird captain, Bezzant, and Steel (Wellington College), Sandholme and Mason (Stop Out), Law (Midland), Edwards (Kaiori), Souness (Wellington. College Old Boys), O'Connor (St. Patrick's, Silverstream), Kemp (Hutt), and McQueon (Institute), with Mr. J. Couehman, of the junior committee, as manager. j The team's match engagements are:, 1 December 26 and 27. — v; Ashburtonj at Ashburton. December 29 and 30. —v. South Canterbury,, at Timaru. • January 1 and 2.—v. Canterbury juniors, at Christchurch. There were other requests for matches with tho touring 'team, but they could not be met owing to the •limited time for the tour.
