AN OLD RESIDENT.
DEATH OF MRS. C. WILSON
Mrs. Catherine Wilson, who died on Thursday following an operation in a private hospital recently, was the wife of Mr. James Wilson, of 9 Hutt Road. She arrived'in New Zealand about sixty years ago in the sailing' ship Edwin Fox, which was dismasted in the Bay of Biscay on the outward voyage and had to put into a French port for repairs. The Edwin Fox is at present a hulk at Picton. Mr. and Mrs. Wilson were married at Oamaru fiftyfive years ago, and came to Wellington in. 1885. Mrs. Wilson is survived by her husband, two sons, Messrs. J. and R. Wilson, and two daughters, Mrs. Janies Munt and Mrs. Charles Bush, all of Wellington. She also leaves eight grandchildren and one great-grand-child. The funeral took place yesterday afternoon at Karori Cemetery, tho services at the chapel in tho city and at the graveside being conducted by the Rev. R. J. Howie, B.A.
